Busy days..

It seems everyone has a lot going on right now, Amy has a gorgeous new little one to snuggle (Congratulations Amy and Family!!) Amanda Jean has rejoined us in blogland (Welcome back Amanda Jean!!) There's yard work and gardening, sew ins and parties, and many other goings on!

I know we have been keeping busy here.

Hubby's been putting the power tools to good use, building us some goodies and pitching (ok, so he's done most of it LOL) in on the Great Dresser rehab (pictures and details when it's finished..Promise!) I've been doing lots of painting, cleaning and organizing, and a bit of sewing when I can grab a few minutes!
Some of the projects that Yours Truly has accomplished lately ;)
To send up to Polkadot Pandas;
I just finished making this gift bag for our Niece's Birthday party tomorrow:

And I painted this yard sale-d frame using Krylon watermelon and glazed (Ralph Lauren glaze in Smoke..LOVE!) the very outside edges to give an aged effect. Add a had to have clearance print and you have a budget friendly piece of art for your wall!
Here's a break down of the cost:
Paint: $2.97
Frame: $1.00
Print: $3.99
Glaze: $0.00-on hand
Total: $7.96

Check back soon to see these dated dollar store frames transformed with just a bit of paint and a little help from Ralph!
I'm linking up to Amy's blog, be sure to check out the other Sew and Tell Friday bloggers, there's so many talented people involved every week!
