Can you believe it's October already? I have been so swamped with driving 2 teenagers to and from work, a myriad of Doctors and Dental appointments, Getting ready for our show we hosted last month, A birthday, and Anniversary, a Family reunion, making lots, and lots of velvet pumpkins for Georgie Emerson, that it seems that September lasted all of 30 seconds!
In between all of the previously mentioned activities and my normal de-cluttering project, I've also jumped on the freezer cooking band wagon. I started around the beginning of September, and I can't even begin to describe the relief of having a 1 step dinner ready on those super busy days!
This week I'm working on restocking my freezer.
Sunday I cooked up some Hamburger and breakfast sausage, yesterday the italian sausage. Today I am making seasoned breadcrumbs, starting on the french toast (24 loaves of bread..going to take a day or 2 lol), Pizzas, and zucchini bread. by the end of the week I will have my freezer restocked with ready to go convenience foods, without the preservatives and chemicals of the stuff you pay too much for at the grocery store.
Here's a rundown of what we will have ready to eat when the week is done.
1 larger company sized Lasagne
528 slices of french toast
30 Breakfast Burritos
30 Beef, bean and cheese burritos
15 personal pizzas
5 family sized pizzas
8 loaves of zucchini bread
4 bags of homemade marinara
2 Apple pies
6 pie crusts
3 meals worth of potato skins
I think that is pretty good for this week.
